Obtain a signed cover letter from your employer, company, or organization. The letter should be addressed to the Director General of Immigration Services and must clearly state the purpose of your application.
Collect copies of your national passport (bio data page), a recent colored passport-sized photo, and proof of your current immigration status if you are already in Kenya. Ensure all documents are clear and legible.
Submit a valid Tax Compliance Certificate for your company if it is a new application. For permit renewals, include valid Tax Compliance Certificates for both the company and the individual applicant.
Include documentation proving ownership or leasehold of the land where the agricultural or animal husbandry activities will take place.
Provide a bank statement showing a minimum of USD 100,000 as proof of available investment capital for the business.
Secure and submit any necessary clearance or license from relevant regulatory bodies overseeing agriculture or animal husbandry in Kenya.
Attach copies of the Personal Identification Number (PIN) certificates for both the individual applicant and the company.
If renewing the permit, include the most recent audited accounts for the company.
Include a copy of the certificate of registration for the organization applying for the permit.
Pay the non-refundable processing fee of Kshs. 20,000 and the issuance fee of Kshs. 250,000 per year. Note that East Africa Community Member States are exempt from these fees.
