The Class B permit is essential for individuals or organizations planning to engage in agriculture or animal husbandry in Kenya. This guide provides a clear and concise process to help you navigate the application requirements and steps efficiently.

  1. Complete Application Form 25

    Fill out and sign Form 25, ensuring all required fields are accurately completed. This form is the primary document for your application.

  2. Prepare a Signed Cover Letter

    Obtain a signed cover letter from your employer, company, or organization. The letter should be addressed to the Director General of Immigration Services and must clearly state the purpose of your application.

  3. Gather Required Documents

    Collect copies of your national passport (bio data page), a recent colored passport-sized photo, and proof of your current immigration status if you are already in Kenya. Ensure all documents are clear and legible.

  4. Provide Tax Compliance Certificates

    Submit a valid Tax Compliance Certificate for your company if it is a new application. For permit renewals, include valid Tax Compliance Certificates for both the company and the individual applicant.

  5. Submit Proof of Land Ownership or Leasehold

    Include documentation proving ownership or leasehold of the land where the agricultural or animal husbandry activities will take place.

  6. Show Proof of Investment Capital

    Provide a bank statement showing a minimum of USD 100,000 as proof of available investment capital for the business.

  7. Obtain Clearance or License from Regulatory Bodies

    Secure and submit any necessary clearance or license from relevant regulatory bodies overseeing agriculture or animal husbandry in Kenya.

  8. Include PIN Certificates

    Attach copies of the Personal Identification Number (PIN) certificates for both the individual applicant and the company.

  9. Provide Current Audited Accounts (For Renewal)

    If renewing the permit, include the most recent audited accounts for the company.

  11. Pay the Required Fees
