Meru University of Science and Technology (MUST) offers market-driven and research-oriented postgraduate programs at both the Masters and Doctoral levels. They collaborate with the Directorate of Postgraduate Studies to coordinate graduate programs and provide teaching and supervision to students. This guide will walk prospective students through the admission process and available postgraduate programs at MUST.
Admissions for Postgraduate Programs
Admissions for postgraduate programs are conducted throughout the year, with intakes in January, May, and September. They encourage interested individuals to apply online through their Online Application System: https://admission.must.ac.ke/.
Admission Criteria
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree
Applicants for the Doctor of Philosophy degree should possess a Master’s degree from Meru University of Science and Technology or an equivalent qualification from institutions recognized by the Senate. Furthermore, they must submit a research concept note demonstrating their capacity for independent research. The postgraduate programs are designed to foster research and innovation.
Master’s Degree Programs
Prospective students for Master’s degree programs should hold a related Bachelor’s degree with at least Upper Division Second Class Honors, or an equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by the Meru University of Science and Technology Senate. Candidates with Lower Division Second Class Honors must have a minimum of two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent qualification from another institution recognized by the University Senate.
