How to Apply for a Class F Manufacturing Permit in Kenya

The Class F permit is essential for individuals or companies planning to engage in specific manufacturing activities in Kenya. This guide provides a clear and concise overview of the application process, requirements, and fees to help you navigate the process efficiently.

  1. Prepare Required Documents

    Gather all necessary documents, including a duly filled and signed application Form 25, a signed cover letter from your employer or company addressed to the Director General of Immigration Services, copies of your national passport (bio-data page), and your current immigration status if you are already in Kenya.

  2. Complete the Online Application

    Visit the official application portal at https://fns.immigration.go.ke/ and fill out the online application form. Ensure all details are accurate and match the information in your supporting documents.

  3. Upload Supporting Documents

    Upload recent colored passport-sized photos, a valid Tax Compliance Certificate for the company (or both company and individual certificates for renewals), a copy of the license from relevant regulatory bodies, proof of funds for investment (minimum USD 100,000), company registration documents, a shareholders certificate (CR12), and a copy of the PIN certificate for both the company and individual.

  4. Submit Current Audited Accounts (For Renewals)

    If you are renewing your permit, include current audited accounts as part of your application.

  5. Pay the Required Fees

    Pay the non-refundable processing fee of Kshs. 20,000 and the issuance fee of Kshs. 250,000 per year. Note that East Africa Community Member States are exempt from these fees.

  6. Submit Your Application

    Review your application thoroughly to ensure all information and documents are correct. Submit the application through the online portal and await confirmation.
