However, accurately estimating the materials required for a gypsum ceiling project can be challenging.   1. Determine the Type of Gypsum Board

    Decide whether to use regular, moisture-resistant, or fire-rated gypsum boards. Choose a preferred brand such as Hada, Gyproc, Decor, or Knauf, considering factors like budget and quality.

  2. Measure the Room Dimensions

    Measure the length and width of the room to calculate the total area in square meters. For a standard sitting room, assume a size of 30 square meters.

  3. Calculate Gypsum Board Quantities

    Divide the room area by the area of one gypsum board (2.88 square meters). For a 30-square-meter room, this equals 10.4 boards. Add 2 boards for wastage and 4 extra for designer ceilings, totaling 16 boards.

  4. Estimate Metal Studs and Channels
